Motor Vehicle Collision on Boggs Run Road in Boggs Run West Virginia. Benwood Engine 6, Squad 4, Boggs Run Engine 362, Tri-State EMS and Marshall County Deputies responded.

Sunday December 13,2009. Benwood and McMechen Fire Departments were dispatched to Sixth Street in McMechen. McMechen Engine 1, Engine 3 and Squad 4, Benwood Truck 46, Engine 6 and Squad 4 responded.




On Monday November 16,2009, Benwood VFD was dispatched for a brush fire at Glendale Creek. Units and manpower from Station 100 responded and extinguished fire.


Benwood VFD has opened its social club on October 15,2009.

September 16,2009 Benwood VFD, Wheeling Fire Department and Tri-State EMS dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Route 2 near Interstate 270.



On September 14,2009 Station 100 was requested to assist Tri-State EMS at 1809 Ashland Ave Benwood Sq-4 and
Tri-State EMS Medic 23 responded

On September 12,2009 Station 100 was alerted for a Fire Alarm at FABI in North Benwood E-6 ,T-46 ,Sq-4 responded along with
McMechen Fire Department. Entire area was checked and the alarm deemed to be false. Command terminated by Chief Mike Smith.
August 23,2009 Station 100 alerted for an
EMS /first responder incident at Krogers in Benwood Squad 4 and
Tri-State EMS responded
Station 100 alerted for a gas leak at 4865 Eoff Street in North Benwood.
Engine 6, Truck 46 and Chief 100 responded.

a fire in the bathroom . T-46 E-6 Sq-4 RESONDED FROM BENWOOD AND E-1

On June 17 Benwood VFD was dispatched to assist Boggs Run Fire Department for wires arcing in Boggs Run WV.Engine, squad and Command unit responded.

On Monday June 15,2009 Benwood Fire Department celebrated with the Benwood Little League for completing an undefeated season by hosting a parade through the City of Benwood. Congrats to the little leaguers from Benwood and Blaine Hill Fire Companies.

On June 7 Engine 6 and Squad 4 were alerted to the area of sixth and seventh streets in the City of Benwood for wires arcing. Utility company notified and responded to mitigate incident.

On June 1,2009 Benwood Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Main Street in Benwood WVA. Chief 100 Mike Smith arrived on location in command 100 and had Engine 100 respond in and provide debris/hazard removal and traffic control. On June 2,2009 Benwood VFD, New Martinsville VFD, McMechen VFD, Moundsville Fire and Moundsville VFD and other public safety agencies were dispatched to a possible river rescue on the Ohio River near Moundsville WVA. FireBoat 100 searched the area with other boats. Victim was recovered later inthe day by Moundsville boat. Command terminated.
